Matthew 10:29OUR VISION
To see the Isu community and individuals transformed by the Word of God in our language and using our language for sustainable development.
OUR ACTIVITIES
We carry out Language development activities, Bible translation, mother tongue literacy and Scripture engagement promotion.
We now have the New Testament in indzəŋi Usu.
OUR VALUES
- We value God's Word in our Language.
- We Value our Language as an essential part of who we are.
- We value our culture and heritage.
- We value truth, honesty and integrity.
- We value respect for elders and one another.
The backbone of the local economy of Isu is subsistence agriculture. The Isu people are primarily smallholder farmers cultivating staple crops like maize, groundnuts, beans, cassava, potatoes, plantains, cocoyams, amongst others. Both men and women work in fields, utilizing extended family structures to support seasonal planting and harvesting.
Beyond crop production, some residents raise livestock and participate in small-scale trading and crafts at local markets to supplement their household income.
